For 30 years Poolesville Baptist Church has been making an impact in Poolesville and beyond. We have a rich Southern Baptist history and hold to the Baptist Faith and Message as well as the London Baptist Confession of 1689. We are still congregational, but we have recently moved to an elder led governance. Each of our members agrees to abide by our covenant and declaration of faith. All members are asked to agree with the basic Christian Doctrines

found in our Declaration of faith.

They have also agreed to abide by a church covenant.

Along with the historic Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed, we align ourselves with the Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689.

We are also a part of the Southern Baptist convention.

Finally, let me commend to you the resolutions of Jonathan Edwards. This great man of faith has 70 one line resolutions that are worthy of regular reading, contemplation, and putting into action.
