The women of Poolesville Baptist make a profound impact in the community and in the life of the church.  Several volunteer regularly at the Poolesville Friendly Thrift Shop and the Frederick Rescue Mission.  Some use their knitting and sowing gifts to fellowship and minister to others.  Still others use their inquisitive minds and gifts of hospitality to lead and organize so many activities of the church.

Discipleship Groups for Women

There are two regular Discipleship Groups that women from our church and community participate in:

Poolesville Community Women’s Bible Study – Monday nights, 7PM

Though not officially a ministry of PBC, this Bible Study is led by and attended by many women from the church.  They meet in the Cafe of the Family Life Center for a time of fellowship, prayer, discussion and study.  For more information, contact Jackie Adema or check out their group page.

S.I.S.T.E.R.S – Wednesdays, 11:30AM

Are you interested in a deep dive into God’s word and the doctrines of our faith?  Then the S.I.S.T.E.R.S. Bible Study might be for you.  S.I.S.T.E.R.S stand for Serious In-depth Students Trusting Every Revealed Scripture.  Currently, they are working through R.C. Sproul’s “Dust to Glory” Curriculum – an overview of the narrative of Scripture.  For more information, contact Jackie Adema or check out their group page.

We exist to show who Jesus really is and to help everyone find their hope and delight in him.
